MIGnnovation

The chances of the private sector and civil society facing the migration challenge in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Did you know that migration boosts the growth and innovation capacity in countries?
From Innovation Laboratory (IDB Lab /BID Lab) and the IDB Migration Unit, we created MIGnnovation

According to Gallup Migration Index, the number of people who want to enter Costa Rica or Uruguay is greater than the number of inhabitants who want to leave. This means that – unless you are from these countries – it’s probably that a neighbor, a relative, or yourself wish to migrate to another country instead of someone from outside comes to live in your city. If this exercise were carried out in Latin America and the Caribbean, the region would lose 20% of its residents. Oceania would gain 190% and almost triple their current population.
