Code for Development
The IDB promotes the idea that software is a knowledge product and should be shared. That is why –in collaboration with the Inter-American Development Bank–, we launched Code for Development, an initiative that serves as a platform to share resources and open source software, while it also connects the various communities that support the vision that software is a public good.
Code for Development provides access to applications, algorithms, spreadsheets, and other useful digital tools to address specific challenges. It also offers other capabilities such as resource management, data, information, communication, services, procedures, imagen processing, etc. When reused and adapted, our vision is that these tools have the potential to promote the economic and social development of Latin America and the Caribbean.
