The Latin American and Caribbean Council on Civil Registration, Identity and Vital Statistics (CLARCIEV) seeks to promote the exchange of experiences between civil registration institutions and to support their strengthening.
CLARCIEV also has the mission of promoting the importance of the right to identity in the region, raising awareness among both –the countries and the population– of the need for sound civil registration institutions.
